This vehicle comes in three trim levels which comprises of the XLS, the XLT, and the Limited. For easy driver access and reach while drive, the audio system, heating system, ventilation, and air conditioning controls have been mounted in the center stack and angled slightly towards the driver. As per the power window and lock switches, they have been illuminated so as to facilitate an easier find and access.

When driven, the Ford Escape offers responsive handling and brisk acceleration performance. It has a relatively taut suspension that is very much unlike the slack characteristic that larger SUVs contain. This vehicle also boasts a responsive steering. The driver of the Ford Escape is given a sense of control. An additional plus for this vehicle is that its tires has the capacity to grip respectively in paved corners, thus providing a quick, yet smooth driving for everyone. The brakes of the Ford Escape also are smooth and responsive.

Standard equipment for the Ford Escape include air conditioning, an anti-theft system with perimeter alarm, four wheel anti-lock brakes, a cargo cover, a convenience net, a center console with armrest, a cruise control, a 3.0 liter Duratec V6 engine, a four-speed automatic transmission, front fog lamps, a rear privacy glass, a chrome grille, dual visor mirrors, a six-way power driver’s seat with manual lumbar control, five-spoke alloy wheels, full carpeting, an electric rear window defroster, power locks, power mirrors, a tachometer, and power windows. Also, options for this vehicle include leather seating surfaces, a steering wheel wrapped in leather, front bucket seats, and a 60/40 split rear bench.
